Patterns of G

I thought I would be a little different. Here I’m playing the same chord at various places up the neck. If you notice some of the patterns are quite familiar. A D chord shape on the seventh fret is a G, an A at the twelth is a G.

G Major Pattern - GBD
All the following are G chords, however I've placed the chord name of the shape it resembles.
