Celestial Muse Part 3

Her fiance was in Austin trying to make it big I gathered. I would often see her at the local club protected by her circle of girlfriends. I was the only guy she was allowed to talk to.

For some occasion she had bought him an $800 guitar. I asked if he had written a song for her and he hadn’t. So that night I wrote her Celestialmuse.

Of course the entire time I was a gentleman and we never went past harmless flirting. Sappy isn’t it.

Celestial Muse Part 2

This part is a nice little chord progression in A major.

So I tutored this girl Celeste, who was a drop dead gorgeous red head. Anyone would have been instantly attracted. On top of her looks she had a personality that tripled her outrageous sensuality.

I tutored her for a semester in College Algebra and sometimes it was unclear if she came to be tutored or she came to see me. I hope I’m not getting it wrong but I felt as if it was the later.

Sadly, she was engaged to be married and had a pretty little heart shaped ring on her finger to prove it.

ffmpeg Strikes Again

For the past two days I’ve been working non stop to get ffmpeg up and running again. Two days ago I was going to record some more and convert. When I went to log into my friends machine I found it was dead. A few AOLIM messages later and I realize I’m in trouble.

I got it to work once.. I can get it to work again right?

I first tried smooching again, but not many of my friends have linux machines and those that do aren’t set up for this kind of work. So I tried compiling on windows in a *nix environment so I can get my vhooks (the ditty.fallsgeek.com in the corner that I know you guys love.) That didn’t work a bit, so I tried live linux CD’s and getting it to work on my webhost (no audio love there.)

So I installed VMware and set up RedHat on a VM. After about eight hours of install hell I get it up and running. I spend another four hours getting ffmpeg to install. And I convert away. Then I try my pretty vhooks.

Of course I need some wierd dependency which takes another half hour, then everythings looking pretty and I’m tweaking it all out to get it to look just right. When VMware dies.

I reboot. VMware seems dead but somehow it comes back to life eventually. I copy over my files and convert. I go to upload them to the webserver when I notice the network connection isn’t working.

I reboot again. Everything looks in order. I cross my fingers. I upload. Ahhh.

And notice the pretty pictures on the video now :)
