Allright, I had hell getting this to you and I’m sorry I’m late. But it’s a good one. This is a piece I wrote a few years ago for a girl I tutored. She never got to hear the song. It’s broken into four pieces. I wish I could record the whole thing but my time is limited to just over two minutes.
4-2-0 Pull Off
A fun little pull off that I’ve seen used in a couple of songs including Tesla’s Love Song and Randy Rhodes’ Dee. It’s not to hard to get down fairly clean, but it did take me a couple of takes to get one sounding great.
Star Wars Unplugged by Shonsta
I once heard a story about a guitarist about to play a good size crowd who blew a tube in his amplifier rendering it useless for the show. He asked if anyone had one he could borrow and after a long silence someone said they had a tiny practice amp. He said it would have to do and after it was retrieved went to work fiddling with the settings to get the best sound. The show that followed was spectacular and no one but the pickiest of audiophiles could tell the difference. Of course it helps if your the great Eric Clapton.
Clapton, Shonsta is not. But a far better guitarist then me he is. Here he proves it by playing a great Star Wars medley on a guitar that looks like it could have come from a cracker jack box. This won’t be the last we see of him, as this isn’t anywhere near his best. But what can I say, I’m a huge Star Wars geek.
C Mistake
Mistakes are wonderful aren’t they? I went to grab a Cadd9 and missed the string. This little guitar piece came out of it. Don’t ask me what the chord is. Seems the chord finders don’t know either.
