Yet another I learned from guitar lessons. This one uses some interesting chords that I was told were jazz chords. All I know is they really cramp the hand. I used to joke with my friends that this was elevator music. Hence the name.
Stolen Links and Updated Pentatonics
Under the cloak of night I rushed off to the Digg site. Finally there I cunningly and craftily blended into the crowd by pretending to be browsing normally. I did not have much room nor time so I put my speed to test. Quickly I snatched only the very best. I grinned ear to ear as I left the site with five quality music related links.
The first I shan’t take credit for, because it was handed out at the door. Wierd Al hands out his latest song White and Nerdy for free, and I notice there are two more for the taking right there on the page!
All the decent theives need bombs. So what happens when you google for worst band in the world? Why you’ve just been Google bombed. I just happened to make one above by spreading the link.
Knowledge is power and if you know where rock groups got their names, then you have the power. Go light a bulb.
While I was sticking it to Digg a group of transgender nudists were sticking it to the recording industry. Barenaked Ladies offer their latest album for $9.99 in MP3 and FLAC.
Last I offer this, but use it wisely. With a click you can find MP3’s fairly easily. Just replace SEARCH TERM with your mothers maiden name. Legal ditties only please.
Also I’ve added a diagram showing the notes on Pentatonic Blues. Warning, this diagram is text only and sucks the llama. Hopefully I can Windows Paint something better in the future.
One Finger
Part of my first ditty. For some reason this one got recorded first even though it’s at the end. I’m not sure if it has any musical merit, just know it sounds neat and easy to play to boot.
E Progression
One day I learned a simple chord progression. Over the next few days I applied that same idea to other chords and here is one of them. I just recently ran this through the chord finder at all guitar chords and found the names of those 6 chords. I’m sure theres an interesting piece of theory to go with this. I’m also sure your glad I don’t know it so I don’t bore you to death.
